Elizabeth Garvin, New York, NY
Elizabeth Garvin has been one of the Gallery's top selling jewelers for many years. Her jewelry can be both dressy and casual, making her work a favorite essential with our customers.
Garvin is a 1986 graduate of NYU, with further studies at Parsons School of Design and Massachusetts College of Art. Her work is shown nationally in many galleries. Her goal as a designer has been to create forms with classic elegance and enduring quality. Her approach to designing form, engineering movement and developing techniques often draws as much from architecture and industrial design as from the traditional craft of jewelry making. Her small New York studio includes five fellow jewelers, three of whom have worked with her for at least twelve years.
Also included on this page are rings and a necklace from her Storm Mass Series, part of her new brand, Elizabeth Fine Jewelry. This brand, in her words, "continues the tradition of clean, modern design created entirely by hand in my studio, offering a fresh approach to luxury in the world of fine jewelry," and is based on ideas on which she has been working for several years. Observing a strict price structure and standard for quality, her Storm Mass Series incorporates oxidized sterling silver with patina, 18k gold, Palladium, and gemstones.
