Jane's subject matter is grounded in both personal observation and imagination, but her approach to art is simple and child-like. She remarks, "in today’s complex world, art is something we should want to come home to, nurturing the spirit and serving as a reminder that we are more than our jobs, more than our relationships, more than our daily grind."  Pastels are her preferred medium.
