Iowa Artisans Gallery was founded in 1984 by twelve craft artists. Five founders still serve as owners, and many staff persons are also artists. The Gallery is a full service retail business, offering phone orders, web orders, layaway, approvals, specialty wraps and special orders. We offer special exhibitions and participate in community art-based events.

We’re located in the historic, light-filled Paul-Helen Building in downtown Iowa City’s Old Capitol Cultural District. Iowa City is a Big-Ten University town known for its Writers’ Workshop and for having the largest teaching hospital in the country. Visitors from around the world find Iowa City a cultural gem, with many of the amenities of Chicago and the casual lifestyle of a smaller town. Customers regularly comment on the beauty and creativity of our displays and the caliber of work we carry. We are known as a must-see location in Iowa City. Stop by and visit us soon!
